How to prevent food poisoning?

Food poisoning is not a new issue in society. The news reported in the mass media such as newspapers, radio and television prove that food poisoning cases occur at all ages including school students. Certainly, the community needs to be aware to ensure that food poisoning statistics can be curbed and reduced to ensure that the community can live a healthy and prosperous life. Therefore, the community needs to gain knowledge on how to prevent food poisoning. One of the ways to overcome the problem of food poisoning is the use of fresh food. In other words, the food does not undergo a preservation process, that is, it is not cooked and processed like fruits, vegetables and meat. The high water content in this food facilitates the reproduction of microorganisms. People should know how to choose fresh food. Vegetables should be fresh, crunchy and not bruised. The same goes for fruits. The meat and fish smell fresh, the filling is reddish and there are no detached parts. In addition, the community should pay attention to the cleanliness of the cooking area at home and in restaurants. The cooking area should always be neat and clean. This is so as to ensure that rats, cockroaches and flies do not breed. Cooking equipment such as pots, pans, and spoons and others should also be emphasized in their handling. Make sure this equipment is washed clean. The community's sensitive attitude in this matter is the cornerstone of food hygiene. In addition, food should be kept clean so that bacteria cannot multiply. For example, fish and meat should be stored in the freezer section of the refrigerator. Vegetables should be stored in a vegetable container in the refrigerator. Tubers should be placed away from strong smelling food, in a cool, dark and dry place. A sensitive public attitude in food storage can ensure that food is in good condition. In conclusion, food poisoning can be avoided if households and food operators involved in the business adhere to food preparation ethics. In fact, the compliance of households and food operators to the government's recommendations can ensure that this case is successfully overcome. This is because food poisoning can be fatal. Therefore, households or food operators need to be aware of this fact and try to prepare food that is safe to enjoy
