The tourism sector is one of the economic resources in our country. This is because, our country has a variety of interesting places that can be used as a vacation spot. Malaysia is a country rich in flora and fauna. For example, the largest flower in the world is the rafflessia flower which makes our country a unique country. In 2019, Malaysia recorded a total of 25.8 million tourists and thus contributed RM84.1 billion to the national economy. However, the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 has greatly affected the tourism sector in our country. In the first quarter of 2020, there was a decline in the tourism sector of 36.8% over the previous year. This is a starting point for Malaysians to explore our country to redevelop the tourism sector in the country. Therefore, there are interesting places in Malaysia that are suitable as a vacation spot in our country.

Mabul Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia. The island is located in Sabah and also close to Sipadan Island. The island has a relatively small size and is rich in coral. The island is also a breeding ground for plankton due to the corals found on the sea floor. Mabul Island is special with its breeding grounds of exotic animals such as octopus and cephalopods. Various interesting activities that can be done on Mabul Island. Among them is macro-photography in addition to its location adjacent to the Sulawesi sea, which is rich in coral reefs. In addition, tourists also have the opportunity to do scuba diving while appreciating the beauty of marine life. There are also other activities such as snorkelling and island hopping.

Kundasang Sabah is a small town located near Mount Kinabalu. The area has a beautiful landscape and is surrounded by lush greenery. Kundasang is also famous. because the scenery seems to be in New Zealand. Among the main attractions in Kundasang is the Cattle Dairy Farm Village. Tourists have the opportunity to get fresh milk and ice cream that also uses fresh cow's milk. Village Cattle Dairy Farm also has breeds of cattle native to New Zealand. Visitors can get the opportunity to milk the cows and learn how to milk. Near Kundasang, there is a tea plantation that must be visited by tourists. Visitors can shop for authentic tea and a variety of authentic Borneo products. Apart from that, Meragang Hill is also one of the attractions in Kundasang because of its beauty when you arrive at the top of the hill. Overall, kudansang is a resort that is very suitable as a vacation location with the family.

Al-Bukhary Mosque is a mosque located in Alor Setar, Kedah. The construction of this mosque was from the contribution of Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhari. The mosque is very famous for its architecture which is based from Turkey and Iran. There are seven domes that resemble the shape of a top. The built domes are decorated in blue and sketches of plant-patterned larat clouds. On the circumference of the dome, there is thuuluth type calligraphy. There is also an interesting fact that the door of this mosque is built of 5 layers which symbolize the 5 pillars of Islam. The mosque was built together with a complex that has various facilities such as hospitals, tourist accommodation and more. Schools are also built for the purpose of learning and education for students. This at the same time prospers the activities of the mosque so that it is not looked down upon

There are many more interesting places in Malaysia that can attract tourists. As citizens who love the country, we need to appreciate the country by exploring tourist spots and supporting the tourism sector in Malaysia.
