Public Speaking Techniques

Everyone must have certain experience in the public speaking, the only difference is that whether they are good at it or not. Aim of public speaking include the conveying information, guiding teaching, helping, entertaining and many more. There are four main elements which a person should pose in public speaking. These are the factors that decide a public speaking is either interesting, boring, convincing or confusing in the future.

 

 

First, the element is the character of the speaker. Each individual has his own characters. Therefore, the variation is the highlight of every speaking. Some people prefer a speech with a soft tone, while some people prefer an aggressive speech. All this conditions depend on the speaker. However, the characters performed by the speaker should refer to the topic of the speech. For example, if the theme is about the warnings in environmental alert, indirectly, speaker shall apply a serious and aggressive tone. Therefore, speaker should show a character that suits the topic of his speaking.

 

 

                The next element is audiences. When there is a speaker, there are the loyal listener. However, no all the speech given by the speaker can be accepted by the audiences. Thus, the speaker play a role to concrete the audiences’ attention through some method such as carrying some mutual communication with the audiences. The mutual conservation is not just about the oral aspect, but also from the non-oral aspect. For instance, audiences that nodding, looking and smiling to the speaker. Interaction with the audiences, such as session for question and answer and session for asking audiences is important also. Thus, the main point is that the information shared should be digested easily by the audiences.

 

 

Next, the third element is appearance. Appearance decides the first impression of a person, especially when a people are giving a speech at a place that no one knows him. Appearance involves more than dressing only, it is about the gesture and also the facial reaction. A convincing speech is coming along with some suitable hand gesture. Besides, body posture in each speaking should be under control. All this precaution can affect the appearance of a speaker and also the effectiveness of the public speaking.

 

 

Every people have their own strength and weakness. However, it is not an excuse to give up and accept the current stage of themselves. An individual must learn to improve and polish their skills. There are a few simple tips includes a people really understand the speech before they try to deliver it and be confident during speaking. It is nothing to be shy or fear to speak in front of the publics, it is fine to be wrong rather than be lost.
