The Impact of Volunteers on Mental and Physical Health

Many of us feel depressed and lonely as a result of the epidemic Coronaviruses that have caused the occurrence of social distance or gap. Almost all Malaysians, not to mention the elderly, parents are trying to balance time between work and children, as well as those who losing a job during this pandemic will definitely feel stressful such even in a different way. Based on research new, volunteers don’t just benefit those who accept, in fact it is more than that. This volunteer activity can improve mental as well as physical health regardless of age, race or your living conditions.

AMONG THE BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING TO MENTAL HEALTH PHYSICAL DAY:

  1. Coping with stress, anger and anxiety problems or anxiety.

Aspects of practice help in social relationships and work together in one groups can have a significant impact on psychological well -being individuals as a whole. One study shows that between ways the best way to relieve stress is to take care of or creating a meaningful relationship with others. The elderly or senior citizens who participated in volunteering also acknowledged who they were find it easier to handle daily activities. Next, they are also have better thinking skills and less potential to have high blood pressure problems. Participating individuals volunteers are also able to reduce the symptoms of chronic diseases and reduce the risk of heart attack.
