SERDANG, January 8, 2023 — Cheng Xia under the Cultural and Arts Secretariat (SETA), College Ten (K10) organized a Chinese New Year celebration on January 8, 2023 (Sunday). The program ran successfully with active participation from the participants among the members of the Cheng Xia committee. A total of 45 participants, consisting of 24 men and 21 women, were involved in this program.

The objective of the program was successfully achieved, which aimed to foster unity among the students of College Ten and provide an opportunity for committee members to actively participate in the excitement of the Chinese New Year celebration. Additionally, the program was able to instill a sense of cooperation and mutual respect among each other.

The program was held at Dewan Sri Budiman, College Ten, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) at 8:00 pm. All participants were given red packets with different colored paper during registration. At 8:15 pm, random grouping was conducted based on the color of the paper. All participants were given 15 minutes to write a Chinese New Year greeting and put it back into the red packets. The packets were then collected and mixed up. The program continued with group activities consisting of 3 categories: domino word games, puzzles, and running and catching games, which began at 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm. At 9:30 pm, all participants sat in their respective groups, received red packets with Chinese New Year greetings from other participants, and communicated with each other. Finally, a photography session was conducted at 9:50 pm and the program was successfully concluded at 10:00 pm.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants who took the time to participate in the program. It is hoped that this program can be a platform to create beautiful memories and strengthen the bond of friendship among the members of the Cheng Xia committee.
