SERDANG, 21 May 2024 — The College Representative Council (MPK) of Kolej Sepuluh Session 2023/2024 has organized the Japan K10 Skills and Knowledge Youth Empowerment (K10 SKYE) Program on May 7 - May 21, 2024. This program has been successfully carried out for fourteen (14 ) day with the active involvement of the participants consisting of eight (8) male students and five (5) female students.

This program successfully obtained cooperation from Shinshu University (Nagano), Sepuluh College Management, Faculty of Engineering, PUTRA International Center (i-Putra), Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Management Center (WAZAN), Student Union (KM) and Affairs Division Student (BHEP), Universiti Putra Malaysia. The objective of this program has also been successfully achieved where it aims to hone the leadership talent of Kolej Sepuluh students in addition to producing small ambassadors of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in the land of the rising sun. Various activities were carried out throughout the program such as visits to Matsumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple, Akihabara and many more. The activities carried out were also participated by students from Shinshu University.

Through this program, the students of Kolej Sepuluh, Universiti Putra Malaysia were not only able to establish close relationships with Shinshu University students, but it has also become a platform for cultural exchange between Malaysia and Japan. Apart from that, this program has also succeeded in becoming a medium of knowledge exchange between Universiti Putra Malaysia and Shinshu University when the program participants themselves get involved in laboratories and lectures based on Engineering and Architecture that have been conducted at Shinshu University. The participants also used this medium to promote UPM to the people of Shinshu University to attract their interest in coming to Malaysia in general and UPM in particular to further their studies or make a benchmark visit. The organizers and management of Kolej Sepuluh would like to thank the participants and parties involved throughout the program. It is hoped that this program can continue to be implemented and become a platform for producing high-quality UPM leaders and ambassadors.
