OUTREACH: TOGETHERNESS INITIATIVES

On March 25th in Kuala Lumpur, a total of 80 college students once again participated in a volunteer program, this time held during the month of Ramadan to take advantage of the multiplied rewards in this holy month. According to the director of the K10 OUTREACH: TOGETHERNESS INITIATIVES program, the program involved helping the homeless in Kuala Lumpur and caring for abandoned cats in a shelter. Activities included distributing food kits to the homeless, providing haircuts on the street, and cleaning and organizing the cat cages. The program lasted for two days, and different participants were involved on each day to provide more opportunities for college students to actively participate in volunteer activities.

According to one program participant, this program had a significant impact on them as they were able to experience firsthand what real volunteer activities were like, which they had previously only seen from a distance. The majority of participants stated that programs like these need to be increased to open up the minds and eyes of college students to engage more in volunteer work.

Overall, the program's objective of instilling moral values among college students has been successfully achieved, according to the program director. This has motivated them to organize similar programs in the future.
