TENTH COLLEGE, UPM, 25 NOV 2021- From 19th to 25th November 2021, Secretariat of Recreation Tenth college has organized a program called 10k Steps Challenge Week. The purpose of this program is to create synergy with participants by strengthening the relationship, communicating interactively, and practicing an effective exercise. Indirectly, this program helps participants widen the knowledge about the importance of walking exercise in daily lives. Notice about this program was blasted three days early before releasing the countdown poster on the K10rex Instagram account to ensure UPM’s students and staff are alert and aware about this program. At 9am on 19 November 2021, the registration form for 10k steps Challenge Week was opened to all UPM students and staff via Google form. Participants need to complete one activity either walking or running with a minimum of ten thousand steps as a requirement of the program and send the recorded data from the Google Fit application. Participants are required  to send at least one day of recorded data of the activity by  screenshotting the data and submitting it in the Google Form provided as proof to participate in this challenge. On 25 November 2021, three winners were announced based on cumulative data of recorded steps throughout the duration of the program implementation. First place winners achieved  the highest recorded data steps with 160,082 steps . Second place won by 125,129 steps and was followed by third place with 104,252 steps. There are three certificates given to the participants. Participants who joined the program for one or two days will be given a certificate of bronze participation. Those who joined the program for three to four day , will get a certificate of silver participation. Meanwhile,gold participation certificates are given to participants who joined the challenge for five days consecutively. The 10k Steps challenge week was successfully ended and received positive feedback from the students.
