ACAEX EDUCARE WEEK

 

TENTH COLLEGE, 18 JUNE 2022 - Academic Secretariat, College Representative Council (MPK), Tenth College Session 2021/2022, Universiti Putra Malaysia, 10-18 June 2022 - On 10-18 June 2022, the Academic Secretariat of Tenth College has organized the ACAEX EDUCARE WEEK programme in collaboration with the Management of Tenth Colleges, Student Representative Council (MPP) and Student Affairs Division (BHEP), Universiti Putra Malaysia. This program aims to increase and test the knowledge of the students in line with the current development of the world as well as to serve as one of the mediums that expose students to various knowledge. During the programme, all members of the programme committee communicated through the Whatsapp application and held several physical meetings to prepare before the program started. A total of 1805 UPM students participated in this program. There are five program fillings held in this Acaex Educare Week. The first filling of this program is an initiative for students to gouge out the talents and skills of foreign languages, especially in Japanese and will take place in two sessions on 10 and 11 Jun. The filling of these two programs is Hype Knowledge, which is a match of Mathematical, Science and Am Knowledge kuiz held using the Quizizz application on June 12. This activity aims to cultivate thinking skills and have an attitude of curiosity and sensitivity to current issues among students and the winners of this quiz have also been awarded cash prizes. Next, the third filling of the program is 1 Day Sign Language in collaboration with Persekutuan Orang Pekak Malaysia held on 17 June. This activity aims to emphasize the importance of sign language among students when in an emergency and facilitate communication with People with Disabilities (PWDs). In addition, the fourth filling of this program will take place over two weeks, namely the One Minute Challenge Communicate Sign Language during June 10-18. This activity aims to provide opportunities for students to practice the knowledge they have learned. The final content of this program is 1 Book 1 Merit which encourages students to donate unused books so that they can be used by other students who are more in need. The program was conducted on June 18th. During all the programs, all participants have given good cooperation by paying full attention to what is presented by the speakers.Participants also did not hesitate to ask questions during the program. UPM students find that this program is very informative and easy to practice. Upon completion of the program, photography sessions were conducted with the speakers as well as participants and an online quiz was conducted to assess their level of understanding of the knowledge and exposure provided. Finally, these programs were conducted successfully and positive feedback from participants was obtained.
