CALIT-CALIT CANTIK

SERDANG, 13 May 2023 – The Culture and Arts Secretariat (SETA), Kolej Sepuluh (K10) has organized the Calit-Calit Cantik 2023 (CCC 2023) program on 13 May 2023 (Saturday). SETA also made a success of the Borneo Night Festival Program in collaboration with Jemaah Pengiri Aras (JPA), where this program is also one of the Fusion of Cheers (FOC) programs. The program was successfully conducted for one day with active participation from the participants and flooded with many spectators. 27 participants consisting of 9 male participants and 18 female participants have all involved themselves in this program.
The objective of this program has been successfully achieved which is to improve skills in building good interpersonal relationships and being able to interact with other people more effectively.
In addition, this program has also encouraged the students of Kolej Sepuluh to be more active in polishing their creativity and thinking methods that reach their own limits. The Beautiful Makeup Program started with the Tatarias Workshop with the guest speaker, Mrs. Norazreen Binti Samsuri who is Mary Kay's Independent Sales Director. A total of 4 male participants and 13 female participants participated in this workshop which was held in the Heliconia room on
at 1.30 pm until 6.00 pm. This workshop aims to introduce students to make-up techniques used for stage performances. CCC 2023 program
continued with the Borneo Night Festival where the Borneo Dress Show Competition took place with 5 male and 5 female participants. This Borneo Night Festival
carried out at 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm. The participants who participated in the Borneo Dress Show Competition have demonstrated traditional Borneo ethnic clothing
chosen one. Among them are the Iban, Bidayuh, Melanau, Bajau, Dusun and Orang Ulu ethnic groups. The audience was also exposed to the history of ethnic clothing which was explained in detail by the host of the event.
There will also be an interlude performance during the fashion competition, which is Badansa Dance Troupe and guest artist, Kucaimars. Not to be forgotten is the number of spectators who enlivened the atmosphere of the Borneo Night Festival, which was 288 people.
Finally, after the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the Borneo Fashion Show Competition, the Borneo Night Festival as well as the Calit-Calit Cantik program
pull down the curtain successfully. It is hoped that this CCC 2023 program can provide various types of knowledge especially in the field of tatarias and appreciate and open people's eyes about the beauty and uniqueness of other ethnic groups especially in the Borneo part of Malaysia.
