KUCHING 27 April 2019 - Ahmad Qadri Basri, UPM Alumni (Class of 2017) announced as the winner after being awarded as Anugerah Perdana Belia Negara at Kompleks Belia dan Sukan Sarawak. His prestigious award was presented by YB Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak.
Previously, Qadri had a history of its own when he was elected as the Sarawak Youth Icon after winning the Sarawak State Youth Award Year 2018 presented by Sarawak Chief Minister.
"I am very grateful for this victory and I hope that this victory will bring a good reputation for Universiti Putra Malaysia, Faculty and Tenth College and become the catalyst for all, especially the youth in our country to contribute more to this country," he said.
Qadri, born in Sarawak, is a successful entrepreneur who is also a Tenth College Alumni including former fellow of Tenth College (2011-2017) also former UPM Student Representative Council (2009-2010). He was awarded the Intellectual Award Anurgerah Putra Intelek during the Malam Seri Gemilang 2011. He is an Alumni of the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM.
The National Youth Award was awarded under the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), introduced in 1988, known as the Anugerah Perdana Belia Negara in 2011 aimed at giving respect to individuals and organizations that contribute to the development of youth in our country. The management of Tenth College congratulates Ahmad Qadri Basri for his success.
