Environmental Synergy

Tenth College, UPM, 26 April 2021 - On April 25 2021, the Secretariat of the Environment had successfully organized the Natural Synergy Forum through YouTube Live platform. This program has the concept of a forum where moderators and members of the invited panel provide their views and arguments on the problems that occur to wildlife habitats, especially tigers, elephants and northern river terrapin. The main purpose of the program is to raise student awareness on the importance of the environment and to discuss the initiatives that the community can do in the effort to preserve the environment. In addition, this program is also expected to produce a society that is capable of making justification about an environmental situation and develope thinking skills.

The forum program received a lively response from UPM students, especially from tenth college students. The presence of invited panel members were great in giving their arguments has a very positive impact on the students. The invited panel members are Dr. Chen Pelf Nyok from Turtle Conservation Society (TCS), Dr. Wong Ee Phin from the Management and Ecology of Malaysian Elephant (Meme) and En. Suzalinur Manja bin Bidin from the Malaysian Conservation Alliance of Tigers (Mycat).

Overall, the program had been successfully implemented and received a positive feedback from the audience. Many interesting questions have been asked to panelists through the 'Chat' column.
