KAMPUNG SUNGAI LALAH COMMUNITY PROGRAMME

REMBAU, 30 November 2019 – Secretariat of Volunteers (K10 Care) had organized a programme called Kampung Sungai Lalah Community Programme at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan from 30 November 2019 to 1 December 2019. The programme had been joined by 15 participants from K10 Care including fellows, the College Representative Council (MPK), all committee members (AJK) and participants. The program is aimed at raising awareness of the students around the world and providing new knowledge to students through activities. The activities including sheep grazing, durian orchards, composting and tree planting activities. Throughout this programme, there are many weaknesses that need to be improvised, new knowledge and experience gained by the students. One of the benefits is that the students need to stay focus and confident. For example, during the session before entering the sheepfold, all the students met with the keeper of the goat and were confident to ask a variety of questions and get the answers they wanted. Some of the questions asked are time management for the keepers of their goats, inquiries about their marketing strategies, the advantages of goat milk, the goat's sleep time, the management of fungus management, the goat vaccine method and so on. In addition, the benefit is to build a spirit of cooperation among students where they are divided into groups that clean the goat area, collect compost steel and clean the durian orchard. Among the disadvantages that need to be addressed is that information on bus movement needs to be obtained first in order to make the journey to the village easier. Also, during the session asking questions about the master of the goat, students should introduce themselves first so that there is no misunderstanding. In addition, all students should be on time to facilitate the launch of activities to be undertaken. Finally, after all the activities were completed, the students returned to college smoothly on December 1, 2019 at 2pm.
