Tenth College, November 17, 2019 - The Tenth College Volunteer Secretariat (K10CARE) organized the 'KEEP IT CLEAN, KEEP IT GREEN' programme on November 17, 2019. The programme begins at 8.00 am and ends at 1.30pm. The main objective of the program is to serve as a medium for students and to foster the spirit of volunteerism while build student identity to ensure that the Tenth College environment is kept clean and provides a high quality environment for their learning sessions. The programme received a total of 32 participants from Tenth's own college and university students. The focus of the programme was to clean up the college environment and clean the clogged drainage that causing water to flow out. All the equipment needed to facilitate the work of mutual aid such as hooks, plastic waste, and scrap scaffolding was provided by the Tenth College. In addition, the Tenth College also provided breakfast and drinks to participants during the registration session so that the students were in a state of energy during the activity. A total of 4 supervisors were present to monitor the state of the program and student safety during the program session. Finally, it is hoped that volunteer-based programs will be held more often to give students opportunity to foster volunteer spirit within themselves.
