Malam Kebudayaan Tiong Hua 2019

Tenth College, 4 December 2019 - Secretariat of Culture and Arts (Seta Cheng Xia) College Representative Council (MPK) of the Tenth College has organized the Tiong Hua 2019 Cultural Night Program held on 4 December 2019 at the Panggung Percubaan, Pusat Kebudayaan dan Kesenian, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The annual program aims to integrate multi-racial students to create unity in line with the University and Malaysia's desire to promote harmony and unity. In addition, this program also allows students to appreciate and learn the art of traditional culture of the Chinese, Malays and Indians.

In addition, the program engages students of various races to join as committee members. The spirit of cooperation among students of various races is an important element in establishing close ties between the races and thus realizing Malaysia's aspirations that can be linked to the concept of acceptance. In addition to the concept of acceptance, the concept of tolerance is also an important factor in unity. With the concept of acceptance and tolerance, University Putra Malaysia students will understand the importance of maintaining their traditions.

The Tiong Hua Cultural Night Program 2019 kicked off the opening ceremony as an attraction for the audience while waiting for the guest of honor to arrive. Thereafter, the audience was presented with a performance of Zapin Dance performed by the SETA attendees of the Ten College Colleges on December 4, which ran from 8.15pm to 11.30pm. Zapin dance symbolizes the Malay ethnic identity in ethnic diversity and is headed by the brother of the Commander of Bari. The University of Malaysia's Zhong Hua Association has sent a team of 7 participants to the program to present the 'Chinese Orchestra'. The band performed two classic songs dating back to the 80s. Subsequently, traditional Indian dances were performed as interludes before the next event. The event was followed by a lively drama performance to revive the program. The program ends at 11:30 pm and students from each college have the opportunity to take pictures of their memories before returning home to their respective colleges.
