A launching ceremony for Read @ Uni (With Knowledge We Lead) program was held on April 12, 2018 (Friday) at Radin Umar Auditorium Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The launch of this ceremony is in line with the idea of the “Kempen Dekad Membaca” (DMK) 2021-2030. The launching ceremony was attended by En. Muzaffar Shah Kassim (Chief Librarian, PSAS), Dato 'Nafisah Ahmad (National Library Director) and also YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dato 'Dr. Aini Ideris (Vice Chancellor of UPM).

The ceremony was started with a speech from YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dato 'Dr. Aini Ideris (Vice Chancellor of UPM). According to her, the Read @ Uni Program is believed to spark the spirit of reading among UPM's students. She added that reading also helps to improve the development of our country. The ceremony was launched with a gimmick from PutraBot where PutraBot is a robot lent by Toyota Malaysia to the Faculty of Engineering for robotic development for 2 years.
The ceremony ended at 10:30 pm after the awards giving ceremony and the launching of Librarians Volunteer T-Shirts and 3 Minutes Talk from Mr. Zakwan bin Mohd Zaid (Faculty of Agriculture) and Mr. Zainal bin Abdul Kadir (Center for Management and Research).

Read @ Uni has also offered various activities to UPM students including Writing and Publishing Workshops, Wakaf Ilmu, Information Literacy Program, University Debate and more. The Management of Tenth College hopes that students can participate in the program offered.
