A total of 100 students participated in the Lego Robotics Workshop 2023 held at Kolej Sepuluh, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) recently.
Program director, Muhammad Mustaqim Nurhad said, through the workshop, the participants can hone their talent and creativity to think creatively in the technology industry.
"The participants comprised of those aged seven to 16 were given exposure to the world of engineering to face Industry Revolution 5.0.
"In addition, they also learn about electronic system solutions and computer programming in line with the development of the Internet of Things (IoT)," he said.
Electronic system solutions and computer programming are among the activities in the workshop.
The student majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering added that among the interesting activities were the construction of Line Follower Robot, Obstacle Robot, Tug of War Robot and Soccer Robot.
Muhammad Mustaqim said, the participants were also given the opportunity to learn about system programming using the Lego Digital Design and Lego Mindstorm applications.
The Lego Robotics Workshop 2023 consists of participants aged seven to 16 years.
"We plan to make the workshop organized by the K10 Innovators Club, the Academic Secretariat (ACAEX) of the College Representative Council (MPK) of Kolej Sepuluh UPM as a weekly program to further improve the knowledge of the young generation in the field of engineering.
"It follows a very encouraging response from parents and participants who participated in this workshop," he said.
