SERDANG, Nov 10 - A total of 62 participants from the Tenth College contingent participated in the Maulidur Rasul Parade Competition in conjunction with Universiti Putra Malaysia's Maulidur Messenger Celebration. The 1.5 km walk takes you from UPM's Central Parking to UPM Mosque. As early as 8.00 am students gathered at UPM Central Parking. Participants are served breakfast before the parade.

During the procession, 9 contingents comprising colleges in UPM were welcomed with a warm welcome and appreciation. The Tenth College contingent was led by Afnan and banner holders by  Zal-Hazmi and Zuhdi Zahir. The costume theme for the Tenth College contingent is black, blue and green.

At the end of the parade, participants gathered in the mosque to commence the Maulidur Rasul Celebration Ceremony. A Maulidur Messenger talk was delivered by Maulana Iqbal Zain entitled Prophet Unity Inspiration. Maulana Iqbal said that Muslims need to seek to love the Messenger of Allah because His Majesty will intercede in the hereafter for His people. It is also explained that Allah Almighty will bring light into the hearts of His servants who treat the Messenger of Allah.

At the end of the lecture, the ceremony continued with the prize giving ceremony for the Prophet's Maulidur Figure, Best Parade and Banners. Tenth College took third place in the Best Parade and second place for Best Banners. The ceremony was over and the students returned to their respective colleges.
