Kolej Sepuluh, 29 November 2024 – The 2024 Putra Empowerment Week (MPP) program was successfully held from 3 to 13 October 2024 around Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), including Kolej Sepuluh and the Masjid UPM. The program recorded a registration of 3,598 new students, with 606 of them registering at Kolej Sepuluh through inclusive channels for the first and second intakes. The Vice-Chancellor of UPM, Yang Berbahagia Dato' Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, also graced the event, engaging with students and their parents.
Throughout the program, various activities were scheduled, including the Jiwa Putra 3.0 slot in collaboration with the Student Affairs Division (BHEP) and other strategic partners. This session aimed to instill volunteerism and unity among UPM’s new students. It also emphasized the importance of a “sense of belonging” to strengthen the bond between students and the university.
The climax of the program was the Malam Tunas Budaya (MTB) on 13 October 2024, held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Center. With the theme "Cinta, Tanah & Warisan: Melodi dari Ladang ke Panggung," the event served as a platform for new students to showcase their artistic talents. Kolej Sepuluh, through the efforts of its Secretariat of Cultural and Arts (SETA), successfully won the Best Cheerfulness Award.
MPP 2024 concluded with deep appreciation, leaving meaningful memories for new students and facilitators. It is hoped that this experience will bring long-term benefits to all involved.
