On 27 and 28 November 2023 (Monday and Tuesday), the Sepuluh College Volunteer Secretariat (K10Care) organized a Proactive Health Check program in collaboration with the Malaysian Red Crescent UPM Branch, UPM Student Representative Council (MPP), Student Affairs Division (BHEP), Student Union (KM) and Seri Kembangan Health Clinic. This program aims to help students and the general public know their current health conditions and thus help in the early detection of diseases. This program is also held to give awareness to students and the public about the importance of health and ways to cultivate healthy lifestyle practices.
This program starts at 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on 27 & 28 November 2023 (Monday and Tuesday) which is conducted at the Putra Chancellery Grounds, Universiti Putra Malaysia. A total of 450 students have followed this program together with members of the public living around the university area and graduate families. The program is carried out with health screening activities such as height and weight measurement, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure test, sugar test and counseling. During the program, all the students and visitors involved have given good cooperation in making this program a success.
Through the completion of this program, it can empower students and visitors to have a sense of responsibility towards the people around them while also educating the community to adhere to the principles of care and want to create a community that is always aware of personal health.
